2018 Trackside Music Festival Artist Lineup
Five Oceans
Sunday, July 1st / Side-Track Stage
Five Oceans first wows an audience with the powerful vocals of lead singer Warren Hargraves. Hargraves’ voice features vintage-meets-modern charm, influenced as much by old-school acts like The Allman Brothers and The Eagles as it is by current-day troubadours like Chris Stapleton and Anderson East.
When first paired with the dynamic work of guitarist Josh Try in summer 2014, the high school friends knew they had captured something special. Try went to work finding a rhythm section capable of taking the pair to new heights, eventually recruiting two of the finest musicians he knew: bassist Pat Dal Cin and drummer Mark Swan.
After releasing their début EP “From What You’ve Heard” in late 2015, Five Oceans continued to refine their live performance,
capturing their energy and playfulness in a single: 2016’s “I’m Gone”. A summer tour followed, seeing the band captivate audiences all over Southwestern Ontario while fine-tuning more new original material. In 2017, the boys released “BROCEANS”, a memorable 3-song EP that showcases a tremendous amount of growth from the five-piece. After promoting that album with appearances at
SesquiFest London and Rock The Park, Five Oceans unleashed another EP onto the world: 2018’s “Oh Boy”. This EP continues where BROCEANS left off, pairing a strong country foundation with dollops of rock and soul. All told, Five Oceans have shared the stage with heavyweight acts like Arkells, The Darcys, Hollerado, Genevieve Fisher, and Gord Bamford, with members’ various other projects seeing them travel internationally to work alongside premiere talent like Brothers Osborne, Brett Kissel, Repartee, and Alan Frew. While the band always has lots on their plate, they are tireless workers always searching for the next opportunity to share their passionate, energetic, one-of-a-kind live show.
Thanks for KICKIN' IT Trackside!
