2018 Trackside Music Festival Artist Lineup
Jessie T
Sunday, July 1st / Side-Track Stage
Jessie T is a triple threat: singer, songwriter and guitarist whose talent is undeniable. A Kingston native, Jessie grew up surrounded by music. Her Dad playing guitar planted the seed, and it was soon after she discovered her love for entertaining.
Influenced by the styles of Shania Twain, Patsy Cline, Connie Francis, P!NK and Taylor Swift, Jessie picked up her first guitar and starting writing at the age of 15.
Working alongside award-winning Canadian producer, J.Richard Hutt at Cedartree Recording Studio, Jessie T released her debut FACTOR funded album Reckless Heart in September 2016. Four singles were released to country radio from this album; First Love Kinda Feelin, Summertime Song, Hellbound and Meet My Crazy. Partnering with radio tracker, Deborah Wood, Jessie organized and completed 4 separate radio tours throughout Ontario. Success was measured when her third single, Hellbound, reached #100 on the BDS charts.
In 2016, Jessie had a first-round nomination for CMAO Rising Star, a top 10 regional standing in the CBC Searchlight Competition and performed at the CCMA’s in London for the Diamond’s in the Rough Showcase. Jessie’s success has continued into 2017, with being selected as the new judge in the highly acclaimed vocal competition ‘The Shot’ (http://www.musicexperiences.org/theshot/ ). Danya Dixon (second in charge of Canadian Music Week) and Rick Barker (former manager to Taylor Swift, Social Media consultant for Scott Borchetta of Big Machine Label). Jessie was crowned the winning judge when both of her represented artists made top 4, one of whom went on to be the season’s winner. She’s set to return for Season 6 in Fall 2018.
A Kingston native, she moved to Kitchener in 2012 to pursue her passion for music. Since then, she’s been playing venues throughout Southern Ontario expanding her fanbase. Playing around 200 shows per year, Jessie has graced stages with reputable artists such as the Western Swing Authority, Tonya Kennedy and John Landry. Jessie’s hard work was rewarded when she was asked to perform Kitchener’s Canada Day festival alongside River Town Saints and James Barker Band (2017). She also won the Homegrown Competition to perform at Trackside Music Festival in London alongside artists such as Dustin Lynch and Dierks Bentley (2018).
