Them Dang Rattlers
Saturday, July 2nd 2016 / Main Stage
Them Dang Rattlers are a country/rock band from London, ON. Comprised of six members, all who come from extensive musical and touring backgrounds in multiple genres, these cowboys have the chops, the knowledge and the talent to get things done, pronto!
Them Dang Rattlers started writing and demoing music in the middle of 2013, and quickly came up with the single “This Ol’ Town” as their first piece of music that would be revealed to the public. A music video was eventually made for the track, which was entered into London Ontaro’s 98.1 Free FM “Under the Covers” contest, and by votes, ended up winning the monthly held contest in December of 2013. The band was awarded $4000 in recording time at the revered EMAC Studios in London, ON.
Early 2014, Them Dang Rattlers went into the studio and recorded two tracks, “Little Devil,” and “Tuesday Night.” The quality and outcome of these two tracks were beyond what the band had imagined, and have been garnering attention nationwide, as well as internationally ever since. As a result, the band started to see show offers, including the 2014 Lachie Music Festival, the 2014 Rockin’ Wheel Festival, as well as many of their own live performances throughout Southwestern Ontario, surrounding these festivals.
Later in 2014, while playing the legendary Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto, ON, the band had sparked the interest of The Agency Group (booking agency), and it quickly resulted in the signing a deal with two of their top booking agents. The partnership has gotten Them Dang Rattlers’ live show in front of many new faces, performing live for the Rogers Hometown Hockey Festivals in London, ON and St. Catherines, ON, a 2015 CMW showcase at the Dakota Tavern, opening slots for Monster Truck and Emerson Drive, and has landed the band on the 2015 Boots & Hearts Musical Festival.
With new music on the horizon, and anticipating a year full of spectacular live shows, things are on the upside for Them Dang Rattlers, and you can bet your bottom dollar that they’ll be kickin’ up some dust in your town soon.
